Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle was established in 1956 with its first services temporarily held in a house on Missouri Avenue. The church relocated to the old Davis Paint Store on Washington Avenue, then as it grew, moved to a bigger building on Aldridge Street. From there, the church moved into a basement church on Cherry Street. We were able to purchase land and build on West Main Street, and in the spring of 1968, we moved into our present location. We have expanded several times, including building a
fellowship building across the street from the church.
